C2: Metamism is a group exhibition in support of the newest EP released by Glasgow musician Carsick Charlie.

The exhibition embodies the story of Carsick Charlie’s eponymous EP through light, sound, and various physical mediums, creating a space that could be, or once was, a home. Focusing on the aftermath of love, loss, and alien abductions, the room uncannily blurs the line between reality and the imagined in an ambient experience made to be immersed in.

Exhibiting artists:

 Saoirse Coia
Mariana de Freitas Souza
Mours
Eilidh McDade

Saoirse Coia is a Glasgow-born female artist. Her practice specialises in mixed media artwork, fusing traditional art mediums with technology to explore new creative possibilities. She has always been drawn to the concept of bringing "the real" into digital spaces—capturing fragments of everyday life and reinterpreting them through sound, 3D design, projection mapping, and performance video art. Her work often investigates themes of personal thought and experiences, identity, and the interplay between the physical and virtual worlds. By merging tangible textures with digital mediums, she aims to create immersive and thought-provoking experiences that challenge how we engage with art in different spaces.

Mariana de Freitas Souza is a photographer and mixed-media visual artist based in Glasgow. Her practice often derives from experimentation with analogue materials and processes, while still embracing digital elements when necessary or simply inviting; their work is often described as documentary, but in its style, it’s dynamic, cinematic, and consistently highlighting movement. Mariana’s work is intertextual by nature in its messaging, as she developed her practice around the larger music scene in Glasgow. Her work communicates themes of shared experience, the meaning of home, culture as part of the ordinary, and the similarities and juxtaposition between their home country of Brazil and Scotland — more often than not, completely interwoven with music.

Mours: Visual Artist, Composer, and Inventor.

Cables, Tape, Pixels.

Eilidh McDade is a multi-disciplinary writer and artist from Glasgow, Scotland, currently studying on the MLitt Art Writing programme at the Glasgow School of Art. Her practice is concerned with reconfiguring the relationship between writing and artistic practice, creating installations that treat language as a material presence within visual contexts. Her work incorporates film and digital photography, found physical materials, and text - engaging with artistic processes that evoke ephemerality and decay. Drawing on theoretical frameworks from memory studies, Eilidh’s practice explores how personal and collective experiences are held, retold, and articulated through the act of writing and making.
