Introducing the first installment of a new poetry workshop & open mic series hosted by Ross Wilcock at The Alchemy Experiment. The debut workshop is in collaboration with From Glasgow to Saturn and will focus on developing poetry skills and techniques with a view to performing at the Poetry Open Mic hosted by Ross Wilcock.
'From Glasgow to Saturn' is a literary journal at the University of Glasgow. Based in the English Literature department, and run by students of the university’s Creative Writing Programme, we publish prose fiction, poetry, spoken word performance, essays, and articles on the craft of writing. We also feature illustration, graphic design, and photography, as well as audio and video productions.

Ross Wilcock is a queer disabled spoken word artist, writer and performer from Glasgow. His work explores living in an abled society with a disability. searching for identity, love, heartbreak, self-worth and mental health. Ross has also worked as an accessibility consultant. Capacity: Limited to 15.
Participants will be encouraged and invited to perform at the first Poetry Open Mic.

Accessibility:
The workshop is on the ground floor which is accessible from the street. Unfortunately, the venue is not fully wheelchair accessible as the toilets are located downstairs. Efforts are being made to install a ground floor accessible toilet.
