About the event
Mindfulness is a way of being present to the mystery of life, without judgement, open to experience as it offers itself through the senses. Often we are in a hurry and look at the world, and at art, through the lenses of our prejudice and miss a lot of its richness and depth.
In this workshop we will use mindfulness practices to rediscover our natural inner poise and curiosity as we encounter ourselves and the artwork in the current exhibition afresh. What happens in us as we linger with the experience of looking, asking some perhaps unusual question?
Included in the workshop is some mindful tea-tasting, mindful walking and sitting meditation on chairs. The workshop is open to newcomers to mindfulness and will also be of interest to those with previous experience.
