Solo Exhibition

Julia Clare McTiernan, is primarily focused on painting narrative-driven scenes. Paintings that represent the teachings and experiences she has hoarded throughout the years of intrigue with mysticism, psychology and particularly dream symbolism.

Her oil paintings are tools for communicating with the language of symbols, and so her paintings reflect her own inner workings.

This collection of paintings focuses on taking Sigil Magick out of its occult underbelly and turning what is often associated with evil or new age spiritualism, and turning that same ceremonial process into a way of contemplating unconscious themes within the psyche.

Turning the focus away from invoking material riches and seeking the kingdom of heaven within.
