Made in Glasgow

"AC Collective is a group of artists made in or around Glasgow.

We formed in 2023 from friendships that sprang up in various art classes and groups. We discovered a mutual enjoyment of working side-by-side in order to support, encourage and inspire each other, in addition to exchanging feedback. We work towards staging group exhibitions through regular studio sessions together and field trips to interesting and inspiring places. 
 

If you ever go to the Burrell Collection, the Hunterian, Kelvingrove or People’s Palace art galleries and museums, the Necropolis, Glasgow Cathedral, or the National Moving Image Archive, and happen to see a group of enthusiastic creators recording in their sketchbooks, there’s a fair chance that will be us.

We use the City of Glasgow, with its long and varied history, from ancient times to the present, of myth, legend, religion, industry, shipbuilding, art, music and culture, and its people, as the inspiration for our second group exhibition, “Made in Glasgow”.
