First Etch Glasgow was founded by students at the Glasgow School of Art in September of 2022 as a means to unite a collective of artists whose practice primarily employs printmaking.
Since our debut show we have evolved into a wider network of print-based artists who are all passionate about printmaking and committed to raising awareness of this modality both within the Glasgow School of Art, and the larger art community.
OFFSET is our first open call exhibition. It aims to showcase printmaking as a varied and adaptable tool in the practice of Fine Art, and one which celebrates accessibility and community.
The 46 exhibiting artists represent a wide range of makers committed to sharing their passion and skill for printmaking. They include students, print technicians, graduates and retired academics.
We hope you enjoy the diverse styles, techniques and themes presented in the works and will join us in future collaborative endeavours.
