Ponds etc. is a collection of new and older paintings taking reference from Glasgow’s Queens park and the surrounding tenement life. Painted from sketches and memory, these works sit somewhere between the real and the imagined, exploring the quiet moments of wonder within the everyday. Not all places to ponder are ponds, but all ponds are places to ponder.

ARTIST LINKS:
Angus Fernie (b. 1996, Glasgow) is a Glasgow based painter. Through a mixture of cloudscapes, landscapes and interior scenes, Fernie works primarily in oils, exploring the playful absurdity of the mundanity of our everyday surroundings. Angus has exhibited across Glasgow as well as in London and Texas. He graduated from Glasgow School of Art’s Painting and Printmaking BA in 2018.
