Critical Compound is a participatory project that consists of periodical sessions where creative workers present and discuss together with an audience their own curatorial practices or projects.

During each session, one or more guests would give a 20-30 minutes presentation that focuses on their curatorial ideas or practices, followed by an informal discussion that would give the speaker/s and the audience the opportunity of critically address those ideas in a collaborative framework.
Guests will be selected voluntarily and on invitation basis.

While allowing curators and artists to share their experiences, Critical Compound supports the empowerment of a long-lasting curatorial community in the city of Glasgow, aiming to construct a solid platform for creative workers of any levels.

This interactive session will be all about curating community art. We will look closer into what exactly this term means, what assumptions are hidden in it, who engages with it and why, and what can go wrong when putting it into practice. Whether you are experienced in community art curating or new to the topic, it would be lovely to have you and hear your insights!
